Project of the Concept of the Hotel Industry Development is discussed in Chernivtsi

Project of the Concept of the hotel industry development was discussed on the session of the Committee on the Administration of the Strategy of Increasing of the Competitiveness of Chernivtsi, where city mayor Mykola Fedoruk participated.

The principal aim of the Concept is to increase the level of services of the hotels in Chernivtsi.

In the course of the Concept realization it is foreseen to improve financial and technical basis of the already existing and construction of the new modern hotels, to increase the quality of the services in accordance with the requirements of the international standards.

Aiming at attraction of the investments in the domain of the hotel industry formation, a base of free plots for building of hotels and developing of a model of a typical “small” hotel payback were planned.

Introduction of the program of increasing of the quality of services in the hotels of Chernivtsi “Attendance of Clients” was also provided.

Owners of the hotels are recommended to introduce training of the support staff in foreign languages and to improve the quality of their web-sites, to introduce the electronic system of places and tickets reserving, to take preventive measures in order to ensure viability of the hotels, to use more operatively world positive experience in the hotel industry, to intensify control over the operation of the personnel and to react more operatively on the complaints and offers of their clients.

Committee on the realization of the administration of the strategy of increasing of the competitiveness of Chernivtsi has decided to offer to the German Bureau of the Technical Cooperation GTZ to join to this Concept realization and also has charged the department of economy with the task to conduct a poll concerning expediency of the Hotel Workers of the City Association foundation.

Reference. At the beginning of this year 19 hotels operated in Chernivtsi (848 rooms, 1827 places). Four the largest hotels are “Cheremosh”, “Bukovyna”, “Turyst” and ‘”Kyiv”. All the hotels of the city are in private ownership. An average annual coefficient of the hotels engagement makes up 40 per cent.
